Donations made to good causes via Nisa’s charity, Making a Difference Locally, have reached a milestone amount this month.

As of the beginning of January, more than 12,000 individual donations had been given to charities and other good causes – including youth sports teams, community groups, hospices, health and wellbeing charities and many more - across the UK and Ireland since the charity’s formation in 2008.

Last year saw £850,000 donated to good causes through MADL, with over £11m raised by the charity to date.

We are delighted that our retailers and their customers have helped us to support good causes with over 12,000 donations since 2008

Nisa’s Head of Charity, Kate Carroll, said: “We are delighted that our retailers and their customers have helped us to support good causes with over 12,000 donations since 2008 as the funding will benefit so many very deserving charities and good causes.

“Nisa retailers are often at the heart of their communities and figures like these show just how much of a positive impact they can have on the local area.

“Our partners have supported some fantastic projects this year and we look forward to helping many more in 2020.”
