Nisa kicks off Big Game Essentials promo

Nisa is launching a Big Game Essentials promotion to support retailers in driving sales of a wide selection of impulse buy products for keen rugby fans to enjoy whilst watching the Six Nations Championship this spring.

The campaign will launch in stores from 11th February and provides a range of great deals on key drink and snacking lines - such as sharing bags of crisps and confectionery and numerous beers, wines, ales and ciders - to help Nisa partners generate sales from consumers holding their own social get together in front of the TV. The promotion will run for six weeks, with a new selection of deals featured in the event from 4th March, to see fans through to the end of the championship on 16th March.

Just some of the offers featured in the Big Game Essentials promotion include 3 for £5 on selected 500ml craft beers (excludes Scotland), Guinness Draught 8pk, Coors Light 12pk and Carling 12pk at £9 each, and sharing bags of Doritos and Jacobs Cracker Crisps at just £1.

From the 4th March, competitive deals incorporated into the event will include 200g Pringles at £1.50, J20 4-packs for £2.50, Dairy Milk Giant Buttons at just £1 and Thatchers Gold 10pk and Strongbow Cloudy Apple 10pk for £9 each.

To highlight the great offers available in store and grab the attention of shoppers, retailers will be supplied with themed point of sale kits and the promotion supported by features on Nisa’s social media channels and on the consumer leaflet.

Head of Marketing at Nisa, Philippe Rondepierre, said: “Key sporting events such as the Six Nations Championship provide the perfect opportunity for retailers to drive sales across a number of impulse categories, and our Big Game Essentials event has been designed to enable retailers to make the most of this shopper mission.

“Research from HIM suggests that more than two thirds of shoppers pay attention to promotions when buying goods for a stay-at-home sporting event, so our wide range of offers should support Nisa partners in capturing additional sales.”
